The recruitment process of quality assurance experts opens soon

BRUSSELS – The European Students’ Union (ESU) will open for applications on September 2 to students that would be interested to join ESU´s pool of student experts on quality assurance.

ESU regularly nominates students from the pool to take part in evaluations and accreditations of programmes, universities and quality assurance agencies across Europe and beyond. Members of the pool also have access to training events offered by ESU and its partners, such as the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the European University Association (EUA), and to opportunities to represent the pool to steering committees and at events, such as the annual European Quality Assurance Forum.

Students experts’ pool

This call will be launched in relation to ESU’s work on engaging students in quality assurance provisions across Europe. Since 2009, ESU has been running a pool of committed and well prepared students who contribute to quality assurance procedures promoting and developing student participation in those processes. The pool is renewed once a year and has an independent Steering Committee that launches the calls and selects the applicants based on public criteria.

Nominations requested
ESU would like to ask national unions of students in Europe for their nominations of people that have the appropriate experience and would be interested in this opportunity. Those individuals that would be interested in participating in this work are also encouraged to approach their national unions to declare their position. More detailed information on the role, benefits and expectations will follow when the call opens in early September. If you have any questions before then, please get in touch with the pool’s Steering Committee.
