Students and universities’ officials gather in Brussels for EU Studies Fair

BRUSSELS – The European Voice will hold its 14th annual undergraduate and postgraduate EU Studies Fair on 8 and 9 February to bring together universities and prospective students in EU studies, international relations, business or law. It has established itself as a unique event attracting multilingual, ambitious students and young professionals who have a direct interest in further study and careers in these fields.

A Great Location for a Growing Event

The fair will be held at the brand-new Thon Hotel EU in the EU district in Brussels with excellent public transport connections by metro and bus. The hotel is only 20 minutes from the international train station (Eurostar & Thalys terminal) at Gare du Midi and 30 min from Zaventem airport.

The seminars on the first day will be held at the Committee of the Regions, on Rue Belliard near the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers.

Day 1: Friday 8 February 2013

10:00 – 12:00  Visit to the European Commission and the European Parliament
12:00 – 13:30  Lunch in the Committee of the Regions
13:30 – 15:00  Seminars

•    Seminar One: European and international studies “The position of Europe in a changing world”
•    Seminar Two: Business and Law “Comparing business environments in Europe, the US and Asia”

15:00 – 16:00  Post-seminar reception

Day 2: Saturday 9 February 2013
10:00 – 16:00  14th Annual EU Studies Education Fair
10:30                Address by Androulla Vassiliou, European Commissioner for education,
culture, multilingualism and youth
11:00 – 12:00  Seminar One: “What is ‘European Studies’?”
14:30 – 15:30  Seminar Two: “The European Job Market”
