Participate in the Young Leaders Training Programme

ANTWERP – A multidisciplinary training programme that will strengthen the participants’ innovation and leadership skills will be kicked off in Antwerp, Belgium, in the autumn 2014. This “Young Leaders Group” programme is organised by the Foundation of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EITF). The last day to apply for this programme is 6 June 2014.

Education and training systems are undergoing a major modernization process and new, innovative learning environments are emerging. Under the headline ‘Future learning environments: Triggering Innovation and Growth‘, the Young Leaders Group of 2014 will produce a set of forward looking recommendations on how new trends can complement and adapt traditional education and training systems, in order to foster European innovation and growth.

The programme includes a kick-off meeting at Alcatel-Lucent’s facilities in Antwerp, Belgium, and an ‘autumn academy’ at Imperial College London. It will culminate with the presentation of the group’s recommendations at the EIT Foundation Innovation Forum in Brussels in January 2015.

The programme brings together 30 young leaders from Europe’s academic, business and entrepreneurial sectors, and the application process is now open for the next edition of the programme. EITF is in the process of reaching out to various institutions and organisations in order to spread awareness of the programme and to encourage academics, entrepreneurs and business professionals with an active interest in the theme of future learning environments to apply. Therefore,, EITF would appreciate it if you could share this opportunity within the appropriate networks of your institution/organisation. More details on this programme can be found in its brochure here.

If interested in the programme, applicants should complete this application form and send it via email to foundationeit@gmail.com  before 6 June 2014. Should you have any questions about the programme or the application process, you can contact the EITF by sending an e-mail to info@eit-foundation.eu.
