Study Session: Queer feminist principles as the fabric of a modern, peaceful and socially just European society

The European Students’ Union (ESU) in collaboration with the Council of Europe, is launching a Study Session on the topic “A change of perspective: queer feminist principles as the fabric of a modern, peaceful and socially just European society “.

In the study session, participants will discuss gender-based discrimination and gender mainstreaming. They will be encouraged to share their own experiences, thoughts and opinions, all the while exploring the individual realities, different contexts and theoretical concepts. During the session, they will be provided with the necessary tools to develop strategies and concrete actions to go further and act as a change agent.

The Study Session will take place at the European Youth Center of Budapest, from 19 to 23 February 2018 (arrival the 18th and departure the 24th).

Who can apply?

– Individuals that are motivated to challenge their perspective on the topic

– work on an international, national or local context

– have worked in the field or want to get to know the field

– want to make a change

You can register here for the Study Session.

We will be accepting applications until 14 January 2018, midday CET (new deadline!).

Note that a participation fee of 50 euros will be charged to cover accommodation and meals (once the participant is selected). The travel costs will be reimbursed.

Selection process

Spots are reserved for applicants with any kind of disabilities. Also, we want to remark that the selection process will aim for the diversity of participants, regarding geography, gender and experience in the field. We will communicate the applicants if they have been selected on Friday 19 January 2018.
