World NGO Day – From the Past to the Future: A Living Civic Space for a Living Democracy

The Conference of INGOs is celebrating World NGO Day with the holding of a seminar in Brussels on 28th of February entitled “From the Past to the Future: A Living Civic Space for a Living Democracy”.

 

What is World NGO Day?

World NGO Day is celebrated on 27 February and was officially recognised and declared by the member countries of the IX Baltic Sea NGO Forum of the Council of the Baltic Sea States that took place in Lithuania in 2010.

World NGO Day is a global initiative aiming to:

  • Highlight the efforts and achievements of NGOs from all sectors,
  • Offer the opportunity for people to understand more clearly what NGOs are doing for society at a local, national and international level, and
  • Provide a platform for NGOs to discuss the issues that affect their work and share their knowledge and experience with one another.

 

When? On 28 February 2020 from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Where? Council of Europe Office in Brussels (85, Avenue des Nerviens) or live stream it(the link will be provided later).

Registration: To attend in person, register online before 17 February. Places are limited.

Language: English (no interpretation)
