Webinar announcement: How to empower women in media education

ESU is glad to invite you to a new webinar on empowering women in media education to take place on the 2nd of June 2015 at 10:00h. The event is organised as part of the Unite-IT project where ESU is a partner. The 36 months network project was co-financed in 2012 by the EU Life Long Learning Programme and was aimed at raising awareness and fostering sharing and joint actions to overcome the digital divide.
The webinar will have as key speakers, representatives from Telecentar and Ana Markotic who will share their know how on multimedia, training and women. The aim is to promote gender equality as a fundamental human right and an essential precondition in achieving a wide range of sustainable development targets, as well as economic and business goals.Presentations will show how women can embrace media like photography, video and sound, while integrating new skills in their work and personal development.

The webinar is intended for:

– staff of inter-governmental and non-governmental organisations;

– gender focal points;

– all others interested in advancing gender equality and media literacy
