“Rights and duties of a student in Poland – Training the Trainers Conference”

The 3rd National Conference „Rights and duties of a student – training the trainers” is being held on 25th – 28th of August by the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland. This event is dedicated to student representatives, who will be responsible for delivering trainings and workshops within their HEIs’ on duties and rights of students in Poland.

The main aim of the conference is to professionally prepare and motivate student representatives to deliver high quality workshops and training, covering topics like social inclusion, grants, or formal agreements between student and HEI. Participants will be guided carefully throughout the whole process from the speaking techniques to deep knowledge about the issues. Last year, PSRP had more than 145 students from 68 HEIs’ attending the conference. It is believed that this year the number will even grow, with inauguration debate covering topic of internationalisation and mobility. Hosted by PSRP Representative for Mobility Mateusz Karpinski, we will be pleased to discuss issues with stakeholders from the National Erasmus Agency in Poland (FRSE), most efficient and professionally working with internationalisation within HEI Foundation “Perspektywy” and representative from Erasmus Student Network.

Since a few years, all polish students are granted a basic workshop on their duties and rights. Local student bodies are responsible for delivering those with cooperation and help from PSRP. This action is not only mentioned in the Higher Education Act of Law, but also is a key element to raise awareness of students on their rights.
