Milestone contract signed between the National Union for Icelandic Students and the Ministry of Culture and Education

Our member National Union for Icelandic Students (LÍS) is pleased to announce the signing of a contract with the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture that will ensure the funding of LÍS for the working year of 2017-2018.

The National Union for Icelandic Students and its projects have grown exponentially since its foundation on November 3rd, 2013, confirming the already existing need for a National Union. This contract will be a tremendous addition to the operations and management of LÍS.

“The journey from the first application-draft to the final signing of the contract was long, challenging and educational, yet rewarding. LÍS would like to thank the Minister of Culture and Education for the meeting, and is looking forward to continuing its cooperation with the Ministry this working year as well as in the foreseeable future!” says Aldís Mjöll Geirsdóttir, chairperson of the National Union for Icelandic Students (LÍS).
