EFFECT : European Principles for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning

Ten  European Principles for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching were released during the 1st Teaching and Learning Forum held in Paris on 28-29 of September 2017.

These principles, were elaborated through a dialogue between higher education institutions and representatives involved in the Erasmus+ co-funded project –  EFFECT (European Forum for Enhanced Collaboration in Teaching), of which the European Students’ Union is part of. The aim of these principles is to provide a proactive attitude towards a rapidly  changing environment of higher education.

The 1st European Learning and Teaching Forum, during which the Principles were unveiled, is a recent  initiative of the European University Association which aims to provide an opportunity for institutional representatives to meet and discuss developments in learning and teaching at European universities. This initiative should also in the long term contribute to the educational mission of universities being both properly respected and innovatively improved.
