The Old Continent, Young People & the future of the European Project
What would the future of EU look like? In light of a potential Brexit, mounting euroscepticism and terrorism, concrete solutions are needed to revive the “European dream” and the strong sense of optimism that once existed.
On Tuesday, 12 January, our Executive Committee Member, Liva Vikmane participated in a panel discussion at a conference entitled “From Rome to Lisbon and Beyond – The Old Continent, Young People and the future of the European Project’.
The event was organised by MEUSAC, the Ministry for European Affairs and the European Commission Representation in Malta in light of the coming 60th anniversary of signing of the Treaty of Rome.
Among keynote speakers were Sandro Gozi, State Secretary for European Affairs in the Office of the Prime Minister of Italy and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs, Louis Grech.
