Jens Bartnes

Jens is 27 years old, originally from Norway, and holds a double bachelor’s in economics and international environment studies from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. He has been a student representative at various levels for the past 6 years, including student president at his university and international officer in the National Union of Students in Norway (NSO).

Jens has a passion for internationalization of higher education, and has been a strong oppositional voice against the introduction of tuition fees for third country students in Norway. Amongst other things, he has also focused on real democratic student involvement at all levels, access to higher education for all, and sustainability. He is currently pursuing his masters, while serving as an executive committee member of ESU.
