Sustainability of Quality Assurance in Higher Education in Moldova
After 3 years of successful implementation of QUAEM project, the time has come to think about the sustainability of its results and to plan future actions. During a two-day meeting in Chisinau ESU, together with representatives of Moldovan students, universities and QUAEM partners, looked into possibilities for further development of Quality Assurance in Moldovan Higher Education. A particular attention has been given to enhancing the student’s involvement and building capacity of the relevant actors.
Students, who 2 weeks earlier participated in an ESU-run training on Quality Assurance, had a very active part in the meeting. They prepared a presentation about their ideas for higher engagement of Moldovan students in Quality Assurance processes in their country. They also initiated several actions that they will try to implement in the near future, such as an awareness raising campaign at their universities and supporting ANACIP (the newly-established Moldovan quality assurance agency) in their communication towards students.
An overarching outcome of the event in Chisinau was a draft of a future project proposal, which partners working on the QUEM project (including ESU) plan to submit for funding within Erasmus+ Programme in February 2016. More information on this initiative will follow in next newsletters, so stay tuned!
