BM74: Resolution against student hotels in the Netherlands
BM74: Resolution against student hotels in the Netherlands
European students speak out against the misuse of hotel contracts offered by student hotels in the Netherlands.
Hotel rooms should not be an alternative for student housing, because these hotel agreements do not offer students the rights that normal rental agreements offer. Furthermore, because these agreements are not bounded to the maximum rent price system we have in the Netherlands, the prices keep rising to incredible amounts for small rooms that do not meet the criteria stated in the rent system. Mostly international students are disadvantaged by this.
