Open Call: Democratisation Training in Vienna
The European Students’ Union (ESU) is currently working on a project entitled Social Inclusion Through Participation and Democracy – promoting active citizenship in the European student movement, supported by the European Youth Foundation (EYF) of the Council of Europe.
This project offers an opportunity to host a series of workshops in different European countries.
The first training will take place between the 26th and the 29th of September in Vienna. The session will focus on providing students with knowledge of existing tools for youth participation. We aim at building the capacity of students to reach out to diverse audiences in order to enhance student participation in democratic life in European societies, and to develop skills on how to create inclusive and safe environments for participation.
The training will cover the following main aspects:
- Acquiring new skills in developing effective and innovative campaigns supporting student participation.
- Sharing best practices in mobilizing young people from all backgrounds and fostering practices of active citizenship within the student body.
- Strategies to motivate and empower the establishment of joint efforts to develop Europe-wide or national student engagement actions, with a special focus on political participation.
With the support of the European Youth Foundation and the Council of Europe, ESU will cover the accommodation and travel expenses for up to 15 participants.
