30th European Students’ Convention and PASCL Second Annual Conference
The focus of this edition will be on the role of education and how to make it more inclusive through a student-centred learning approach.
Participatns will discuss the effects of European higher education reforms on learning and teaching and how to apply the student-centred learning approach. The debate will reflect on recent developments and on how Europe can promote and value again active citizenship, intercultural understanding and human rights education.
We are pleased to announce as a key speaker Mr. Tibor Navracsics, Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport in the European Commission. He will discuss the role of the EU in education policy reforms and how Europe can improve teaching and learning by place students at the heart of learning.
The agenda is organised around three mains tracks:
DAY I – Monday 28th of September: Europe placing students at the heart of learning (Peer Assessment of Student-Centred Learning)
DAY II – Tuesday 29th of September: A year of big decisions (Yerevan Comunique and Paris declaration)
DAY III – Wednesday 30th of September: The future of higher education in Europe (Bologna process, Modernisation agenda, ET2020)
- Develop critical thinking on the concept and importance of the student-centred learning;
- Learn best practices of implementing Student-Centred learning in HEI in Europe;
- Make a link between the European-level policies and their impact on the policy making on national level;
- Debate and network with stakeholders and policy-makers at European level.
