ESU’s Study Session On Queer Feminism In Budapest
Between 18 and 24 of February, 31 student representatives and young activists met at the European Youth Center in Budapest (EYCB) for the study session “A change of perspective: Queer Feminist principles as the fabric of a modern, peaceful and socially just European Society” organised by the European Students’ Union (ESU) in cooperation with the Council of Europe.
The study session explored the concepts of feminism, queer and intersectionality among others; It provided a historical perspective and linked them to day-to-day reality by using interactive and innovative learning approaches. The session offered to everybody the possibility to share their realities and to understand the diversities and similarities of their contexts. The initiative aimed at providing participants with new tools and ideas to fight for equality, inclusion and justice.
The week at the EYCB resulted in the elaboration of many concepts, in the implementation of new tools, the beginning of follow up actions, the origin of new links of cooperation between the participants, and the spreading of the messages developed at the session.
