ESU at CoE Seminar on integration of Syrian refugees in the European Higher Education

ESU was represented by our Executive Committee member, Chiara Patricolo at the Seminar on integration of Syrian refugees in the European Higher Education system, which took place in Strasbourg between 11th to the 16th of July.  The event was organised by the Council of Europe together with the Global Platform for Syrian Students and Kiron – Open Higher Education and Voice of Young Refugees in Europe.

The participants were mostly young Syrian refugees that are now studying in Europe and are active in different integration programs, but also European students engaged in peace and cooperation projects.

The first days of the seminar have been dedicated to sharing stories, identifying the problems and analyzing the already existing solutions and programs.

In the final days new solutions have been proposed and all the outcomes of the seminar have been collected by the participants in a document presented to the Council of Europe, available here.
