Together, Moving Forward to continue in 2018 and 2019

ESU launched last year a small grants programme for student-led initiatives working to support refugee equal access and participation in education and society. Thirteen projects have been selected since last fall, empowering students and refugee students to bring a change, create support networks, raise awareness on refugee rights, promote involvement of refugees and asylum seekers in the student community etc You can find out more about each project on our dedicated project webpage.

Our efforts to support refugee education in Europe haven’t gone unnoticed. ESU has been granted funding by the Open Society Foundations to continue with the Together, Moving Forward programme for the years 2018 and 2019. A new call for applications, seeking new local and national projects, will be launched in early spring 2018. The programme will also have some more space for cooperation with school students, thanks to a joint action with OBESSU.
