ESU Contribution to the Report of the Special Rapporteur

ESU has contributed to a call of the United Nations Special Rapporteur to the right to education regarding the question of implementing a human rights approach to education, focusing on the overall situation in the EHEA.

Within our contribution, we highlighted the need for a Student Rights’ Charter or at least a Recommendation regarding student rights, similar to the 1997 UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Higher-Education Teaching Personnel, as well as the need to expand the principle of free (compulsory) education to higher education.
