Modernisation, Education and Human Rights (MEHR) Public Event

The European Students’ Union (ESU) will host a free, public event on the 12 June 2019 in Brussels to launch a new study about how students at European universities are prepared by their faculties to respond as professionals to 3 urgent human rights issues:

  • Violence Against Women
  • Social Exclusion of Migrants
  • Youth Engagement in Democracy
The event will feature a welcome from the Ambassador of the Swedish Representation to the European Union and brief presentations of research on university students in Sweden, Portugal & Croatia.  ESU will premier a short “Vox Pop” film featuring student voices from these 3 countries speaking about the role European universities play in educating students about these important social issues.
The event will take place from 13.15 – 16.45 at the Swedish Permanent Representation to the European Union, 30 Square de Meeus, 1000, Bruxelles.
