ESU discusses student engagement in Israel

On October 27th, European Students’ Union (ESU) delegates met representatives from the National Union of Israeli Students (NUIS) in Beer Sheba, Israel, in order to evaluate and discuss student participation and engagement in higher education.

The theme of the discussion was “Student Engagement in HE Governance and Policymaking: Israel and Europe”.

The official presentations of both organisations were followed by individual debates on each of the main points on the agenda such as quality of teaching, mobility and internationalization, public responsibility and the social dimension of higher education.

The event was organized as a groundwork for the assessment of the ESPRIT TEMPUS (Enhancing the Social Characteristics and Public Responsibility of Israeli Teaching through a HEI-Student Alliance) project’s results.

ESPRIT has been running for the last three years and will end in November 2016. You may see here the project outcomes.
