ESU condemns arrests of Belarusian students

MINSK – Eighteen Belarusian students have been jailed following violently repressed protests against the 19 December Presidential elections. The arrests even continued over Christmas. The European Students’ Union (ESU) strongly condemns these recent developments in Belarus and has –together with its 45 member unions- sent out urgent letters for aid to international and EU policy makers.
