EQAF2018: Meeting for student experts in Quality Assurance

The European Students’ Union (ESU) and Österreichische Hochschülerinnen- und Hochschülerschaft – ÖH are happy to invite all student-participants of the 13th European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) to a pre-forum meeting.

In Europe, the Quality Assurance (QA) system is evolving fast. However, despite the fact that students involvement has improved in some cases, students are still mostly considered to be only useful for teaching and learning matters. Well-trained student experts can go beyond that, offering valuable inputs on all institutional activities, including research, governance and administration, as well as service to society.

After having established a big network with students from all across Europe, we observe most of our problems are actually shared obstacles. If we have a platform to exchange our experiences and approaches with each other, we can improve our position in QA processes even more and raise the value and understanding of QA among a broader student population.

The EQAF 2018 brings a good opportunity for organising a students’ meeting and facilitate this exchange of knowledge and experience. For this reason, we are inviting all student-participants of the forum to a pre-forum meeting on the 15th of November starting in the afternoon.

The aim is to address one of the topics of the forum in the concrete context of the student’s role. After this input, a workshop for international exchange between student experts is planned.
