Description

Luka Lešić is the Equality Coordinator of the European Students’ Union.

Originally from Croatia, Luka is pursuing a master’s degree in Applied Geography with a focus on GIS at the University of Zadar. He has been active in the student movement since his first year, starting as a student representative and later serving as president of the Student Council at the University of Zadar. He also serves as Vice President of the European Geography Association for students and young geographers.

Luka’s work focuses on advancing the Social Dimension of Higher Education, with a strong commitment to fostering gender equity and advocating for the rights of disadvantaged groups with a focus on including the LGBTQIA+ community. He has a growing interest in European University Alliances and is looking to further explore this area in how they can integrate diversity and equality measures, ensuring that equality and non-discrimination are upheld as fundamental rights within education systems across Europe.
