Luka Lešić

Description

Luka Lešić is 22 and from Croatia. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Students’ Union, previously holding the role of Equality Coordinator. Luka is pursuing a master’s degree in Applied Geography with a focus on GIS at the University of Zadar. He began his journey in the student movement during his first year, later serving as president of the Student Council at the University of Zadar and as a member of the Croatian Student Council (CSC). He is also Vice President of the European Geography Association for students and young geographers. Luka’s work centres on advancing the Social Dimension of Higher Education, with a strong commitment to promoting gender equity, human rights, and solidarity – particularly advocating for the rights of disadvantaged groups, including the LGBTQIA+ community. He is also engaged in exploring the role of European University Alliances in ensuring that equality and non-discrimination are upheld as fundamental rights within education systems across Europe.
