Description

Julie’s roots trace back to the heart of Europe, the Czech Republic, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree with honours in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics and Finance, and plans to continue her studies with a Master’s in Accounting. Before joining the European Students’ Union (ESU), she took part in representing Czech students within the Student Chamber of the Council of Higher Education Institutions (SK RVŠ) and also served on its Committee for Higher Education Self-Governance and Committee for International Affairs. She has also taken part in international initiatives on student issues, including the Student Minority Projects Challenge run through Eurac Research’s Academic Network for Minority Issues.

Within ESU, Julie serves as Coordinator for Organisational Development. Her portfolio for the mandate covers the revision of ESU’s Membership Strategy, the renewal of its Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy, and the further development of the buddy system, the “How to” guide for host unions, as well as capacity-building activities for member unions. Her work on ESU’s statutory events spans planning and supporting host unions, alongside efforts to strengthen the Alumni Network and improve ESU’s internal resources and knowledge management.
