QS Higher Ed Summit: Europe 2025

At the 2025 QS Summit, ESU took part in the panel discussion “Future-Ready Graduates: Aligning Skills with Global Needs.” ESU emphasized the need for more support to help students navigate today’s rapidly evolving labour market and underscored the importance of adopting a competency-based approach to education. While acknowledging the value of more flexible learning pathways (e.g. through micro-credentials) in broadening access to higher education for new learner groups, ESU stressed that traditional degree programmes continue to play a vital role due to their comprehensive and holistic approach to education.
