SPICE
The SPICE project – Stakeholder Perspectives on Implementation of Commitments in the EHEA – supports the implementation of Bologna Process commitments across the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), focusing on student-centered learning, mobility, and quality assurance. By bringing together National Students’ Unions(NUSs) and higher education institutions, the project aims to bridge gaps and foster collaboration for advancing higher education reform. Building on the 2024 Tirana Communiqué, SPICE prioritizes integrating student perspectives, with a focus on inclusion, diversity, and equity. Through the Bologna With Students’ Eyes (BWSE) 2027 publication, the project will provide a student-centered report, collect data on Bologna commitments, and address challenges in the EHEA to inform future policy developments. Aligned with Erasmus+ priorities, SPICE will focus on inclusivity, addressing mobility, qualification recognition, and the social dimension. It will develop tools, offer training, and analyze institutional trends to ensure full implementation of commitments. By using longitudinal data, SPICE will measure the impact of reforms on students’ experiences. Through research and collaboration, SPICE aims to reduce implementation gaps, providing evidence based insights to create a more inclusive, flexible, and responsive higher education system, contributing to a cohesive European Higher Education Area by 2027.
