ESU at the TPG A Meeting in Riga: Advancing Qualifications Frameworks
Nora Angelova, an EC member participated in the first meeting of the Thematic Peer Group A on Qualifications Frameworks in Riga, Latvia.
The meeting gathered stakeholders from across the European Higher Education Area to discuss the implementation of qualifications frameworks and their alignment with the Bologna Process. Key topics included the Terms of Reference for the Bologna Implementation Coordination Group (2024-2027) and planned activities under the QUATRA – TPG A 2 project, which aims to enhance collaboration and best practices among member countries. A central discussion focused on the Union of Skills initiative and its implications for qualifications frameworks, particularly in ensuring transparency, recognition, and student mobility. The meeting concluded with a strategic outlook on upcoming activities and collaboration within the group.
