The European Students' Union (ESU) and Education International (EI) are pleased to announce ESU’s 16th European Student Convention and Mobility Campaign Conference from the 5th to the 9th of October 2008.
Held in Lille, France under the label of the French Presidency, the conference will take place in the University of Charles De Gaulle Lille III. At the event, the results of ESU and EI’s mobility campaign will be presented and the recommendations from the conference participants will be transferred to the Bologna Follow-up Group (BFUG). The recommendations will also form part of the base for discussing mobility for students and staff as a priority in the Bologna Process after 2010 during the Ministerial meeting in Leuven and Louvain-la-Neuve in April 2009. The conference is aimed at the BFUG, students, staff and other actors working with higher education. Conference participants will discuss themes such as financing mobility, mobility and quality, diversifying mobility, mobility of social security and pensions and trade in education with special attention to mobility aspects of trade. On 8th October, ESU will hold a day of discussions with only students in our normal student convention format.
