fzs starts campaign against politically motivated expulsions from university in Belarus
fzs, the national union of students in Germany started, in cooperation with the student union of the university for applied sciences Düsseldorf (AStA FH Düsseldorf) and the student union of the university of Mainz (AStA Uni Mainz), a campaign against the politically motivated expulsions of students from university in Belarus. The campaign uses the example of one specific student, who was kicked out of university after supporting the democratic movement in Belarus and then drafted into the army.
Inspired by a prsentation of the situation in Belarus at the ESC 15 in Ljubljana fzs designed two postcards. These cards can be ordered and then distributed to students so they can fill them out. One card has the address of the student and the other one the address of his parents on the back. By sending these cards students can express their solidarty with their colleague and show his parents that his son has supporters all over Europe.
