EÜL - Eesti Üliõpilaskondade Liit was founded in 1991, shortly after Estonia gained its independence. FESU members are democratic student unions from higher education institutions. FESU is recognised by the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research as the umbrella organisation of student unions.
